Special Education Policy Issues
in Washington State

Welcome to the new Special Education Policy Issues in Washington State website. The Special Education Policy Issues Project at the University of Washington is funded by the Washington Education Association (WEA). The purpose of the project is to provide practical information on issues of importance in special education to WEA members, teachers, paraeducators as well as support staff. Our activities include offering a series of on-line courses that provide members with clock or academic credit, special education bulletins covering legal issues that educators deal with every day, and information on other resources in our state as well as nationally.
